Emma is a german name,

give me something to answer.   but unfortunately I'm not German (well, not entirely), and to be honest, there's not much to tell. My full name is Emma Caroline Louisa Richards. My birthday is on the 22nd April. I was born in East London. I have a few obsessions, and my blog is really a representation of them. I tend to reblog a lot of science/maths related posts, The Beatles, Queen, David Bowie, The Mighty Boosh, Dr Who and David Tennant, so if you like those things then hopefully you'll like my blog! I'm an unfortunate artist in the sense that I lack time at the moment to express my creativity, but I aim to hoping to gain some time after my exams.
I love to look into and research Mathematics, Quantum and Astro Physics. Science and Maths are my biggest passion, so if you have any suggestions for me to read or just know some good blogs or websites, please let me know!

I'm currently studying my AS levels in Physics, Maths, Further Maths and Chemistry; then hopefully I'll fulfil my dream of becoming an Physicist (:

Feel free to talk to me!

NGC 6334: Cat’s Paw

Image & Summary: Robert Gendler

Distance: 5,500 light years

Constellation: Scorpius

Located in the constellation of Scorpius, the Cat’s Paw Nebula resembles a faint, luminous paw-print on the sky. Deep images reveal that the nebula is about a degree across in the sky.

At a distance of about 5500 light-years away it is a truly vast structure spanning almost 100 light-years across. The sculpted gases of NGC 6334 are illuminated by the light of numerous powerful stars, some exceeding 10 solar masses.

Many of these luminous hot stars are surprisingly not visible because they lie within the dusty plane of our galaxy. At infrared wavelengths the numerous hot stars are revealed and the nature of this object as a region of massive star formation becomes clear.

I feel like I’m in another world constantly and I can’t come back. Which is really not helping me revise.
